Jane-Ann Duffy (R), Irish Embassy at the Info Evening

On March 19th the Swiss IBN met in the historic location of the ‘Gasthof zum Goldenen Sternen’ on the banks of the river Rhine in Basel. We were struck by the interest shown in the event, as members travelled from Zurich, Bern and Geneva to take part in the discussions on new and innovative technologies emerging from Irish Universities. We would like to thank those of you who joined us.

The guest speaker, Sean Mulvany, is part of a team supporting commercialisation of publicly funded research in the life science and food sectors at Enterprise Ireland. His case study-based presentation provided us with examples of interesting technologies that have recently been brought to market and gave us great insight into the funding and support available for promising new technologies in Ireland.
